Telephone fundraising
We will be contacting some of our supporters by telephone on the number 0114 550 8929 to thank you for your support and ask you to consider giving a regular gift, signing up to our weekly lottery, or increasing your lottery entries.
Regular gifts, like weekly lottery entries, are vital to ensuring that we can keep changing lives through research, campaigning, and support, to bring us closer to a future free from arthritis.
We will be working with NTT Fundraising, who will call supporters on behalf of Arthritis UK. NTT is one of the UK's leading telephone fundraising agencies, and partnering with them will enable us to contact our supporters in a cost-effective and professional manner, with all agency fundraisers trained thoroughly by Arthritis UK and NTT Fundraising.
Is this really Arthritis UK?
NTT Fundraising will call from the number 0114 550 8929. If you receive a call from this number, this is a genuine call on behalf of Arthritis UK.
You will be told the name of the person calling you and that the call is on behalf of Arthritis UK. You will also be told the purpose of the call, and that the call is being recorded for training and monitoring purposes.
If you call back on 0114 550 8929, you will hear an automated messaging stating that you have been called on behalf of Arthritis UK.
Who are Arthritis UK calling?
We will call supporters based on their existing relationship with Arthritis UK, and will only call supporters that have not opted out of receiving fundraising telephone calls from us. We will not call supporters who are registered with the Telephone Preference Service, unless they have consented to marketing calls from us.
You may be called if you:
- Currently or have previously donated to Arthritis UK
- Requested to receive our free Arthritis UK pin badge
When will you call?
Our fundraisers will only call between 10:00 and 20:00.
If you would prefer not to receive calls from Arthritis UK, you can let your fundraiser know and they will ensure you don't receive any future calls. Alternatively, you can get in touch with our Supporter Care team by calling 0300 790 0400 or emailing supportercare@arthritis-uk.org.
