What is Arthritis Awareness Month?
Arthritis Awareness Month takes place in May and aims to raise awareness of arthritis, the impact it has on everyday life, and the support people living with the condition need.
More than 10 million people across the UK live with arthritis. Yet the condition is often misunderstood and many affected are lacking access to the care and support they need. Arthritis Awareness Month provides an opportunity to challenge misconceptions, increase understanding and empathy, and shine a light on the experiences of adults, young people and children living with arthritis.
In time, we hope that Arthritis Awareness Month will become a recognised calendar moment for everyone working in this space across the globe, bringing people and organisations together to drive greater awareness, understanding and empathy.
So that every adult, young person and child around the world can live well with arthritis today, with hope for a cure tomorrow.
