Novartis
As a long-term corporate partner, Novartis passionately work with Arthritis UK on collaborative projects to make an impact for people living with arthritis. Most recently they have been supporting us to raise awareness of two types of inflammatory arthritis. With their funding, we were able to produce films to raise awareness and understanding of these conditions, ensuring that people from our arthritis community were involved and placed at the heart of these materials*.

*while the video production costs were funded by Novartis, they had no input into the content or production, ensuring that our work was entirely independent and led by our charitable priorities, voicing the needs of people with arthritis.
AKW
We partnered with AKW to run a focus group to help them gain insights into what matters most to people with arthritis when it comes to adaptations in the home. Specifically, we looked at AKW’s kitchen units and bathrooms.
Arthritis UK support this effort by bringing together twelve people from our Involvement Network who live with arthritis and feel significantly impacted by their condition. The participants provided valuable insights into their needs in the home and shared their honest opinions while reviewing the various product designs. This led to the writing up of a report that offers AKW’s designers invaluable guidance on how to adapt their designs going forward.
Through collaborating with companies in this way, we can champion the needs of people with arthritis when it comes to improving the design of products or services, helping them to live a better quality of life.
