We've invested over £540M in arthritis research in the last two decades and granted more than 3,500 research awards. Plus, we've helped thousands of young people with arthritis achieve remission.

Our team of specially trained helpline advisors handle over 14,000 enquiries a year, offering information, advice and tailored support to people dealing with diagnosis and the everyday challenges of arthritis.
Arthritis UK helplineWe are a trusted, authoritative health information provider, having been granted PIF Tick certification. This means our information is evidence-based, accurate, accessible and produced to the highest possible standards.
Information and supportArthritis risk factors include smoking, being overweight and lack of exercise so we asked the government to invest in physical activity programmes for men.

A history of clinical excellence and care from merger to rebrand
In 2017, two leading arthritis charities, Arthritis Research UK and Arthritis Care, joined forces to work together to achieve more for people with arthritis and, a year later, became known as Versus Arthritis. Now we're Arthritis UK and this is an exciting and special time in our story.
